Monty Bojangles is a quirky and innovative high-end confectioner. They asked us to totally recreate their online eCommerce presence to help drive additional traffic, conversion and sales.
Monty Bojangles is a feline character at the centre of the brand and we were asked to use his exploits and experiences to bring a narrative element to the site, softening the core eCommerce functionality.
Our solution was rich and responsive, using a mixture of pure eCommerce and visual elements to present both the products and the brand to users in a powerful and informative way. We used the core brand character and assets to both frame and enrich the product listings, working hard to ensure users could quickly move from homepage to product choice through the use of tags and categories.
Lots of media, conversational language, extra articles, views and insights were used in order to properly reflect the friendly, fun loving brand identity.
The new site launched in 2015 and is already proving to be more flexible and commercially valuable for the internal team at Monty Bojangles.
Successful SEO dramatically improved search rankings. Coupled with the improvements made in UX and UI, revenue earned directly from the website is fast approaching the amount of income received by the UK’s main supermarket chains.
