The task

Brighton Dome is one of the most famous and recognised landmarks in this South coast town.

The team needed an integrated single, coherent web presence to promote their event calendar and directly sell tickets and they chose to work with Grandad to help them achieve this.

Our approach

We conceived and created a single, responsive and content rich portal encompassing multiple events and all forms of booking. The site is fully manageable by the internal teams and integrates with their legacy eCommerce gateway as well as many other social and user generated content systems.

Visually, the site is contemporary, clean and clear – promoting a strong brand image and flexible enough to house the very wide range of events housed within the venue throughout the year.

55% increase to key event detail

The result

The relaunch has seen an increase in traffic of over 55% to the key event detail and booking pages. In addition drop out rates in ecommerce baskets have been hugely reduced and the number of customer services calls made by frustrated users has reduced from 10s a day to virtually zero.

Grandad has continued to work with the Brighton Dome team on a retainer basis and is an active supporter of their work to this day.
